I bought a Radeon 9600 PRO from OWC years ago, it was an OEM card pulled from an AGP G5 tower with pins 3 & 11 taped by OWC. They stopped selling them after awhile because of problems with certain versions of the G4 but it always worked fine for me in my Digital Audio.
I had the exact same card in my dual 867 MDD in 07 and later in the dual 1.42 I got. I loved it. Was my first core image GPU. Bought mine on ebay.
I settled on a Sawtooth in the end as I prefer reliability and they are one of the most reliable Macs ever made. Most reliable G4 tower by far.

Sorry if its been posted, i couldn't find it. so i have an old Digital audio powermac g4 and for some reason it wont boot to the os, it makes a loud beep (not the startup chime) the fans spin up and the hard drive spins, however if you plug a screen into the computer the screen goes into sleep mode. the power light just blinks on and off too, like once every second. Im dont know what is wrong with it.

ok, still waiting on graphics card. Wiring is neater now.
But I'm still having an issue with running video feeds from the internet. The MDD is ethernet wired rather than airport. Its really choppy with maybe 2 or 3 frames per second but perfect sound.
Could this be the video card? I've got 2Gb of ram now so that sorts that end of things. Will the ATi 9700 128mb DDR solve the issue?
Sounds to me like the graphics. I get the same symptoms on my MDD with 32/64MB VRAM and at 128 they went away.

So Samsung believed Apple was violating it's patents all this time but decided to do nothing about it. Now that they have been pushed they decide to act. Sounds to me they are trying to find whatever they can to bite back at Apple.

No, you are mistaken. What you are talking about here is called "retribution", which is not what justice is supposed to be about. There is more evidence to suggest that the death penalty makes things worse for everyone than when it is not employed. One major example of this might be Canada, which has quite a lot of guns, no capital punishment, and is generally a safer place to be (though I cannot vouch for iJohnHenry's neighborhood ;)).

Turn your EQ into a smile, remove all the mids and boost the tops and bass for that (rather horrid) crunchy, digital sounding distortion.
Sorry, not a fan of that sort of guitar sound really, it always sounds too processed and a little 'phoney', if that's the right way to describe it.
Good luck with the project though, it's always nice to hear people getting into audio work :)

Please tell me why you find it acceptable to use homophobic slurs.
So violence is an acceptable solution? So I can beat Gay persons up (Don't twist this analogy, I've stated numerous times on this board, I'm all for Gay rights), I just can't, in their opinion, verbally insult them? :rolleyes:
I have been physically assaulted in the past by straight people using those slurs. I have received death threats as well. You have no idea what that is like, not one ****ing clue. Get over yourself. Anyone who calls me ****** is gonna get a very firm talking to. If they continue, worse. Sorry if you don't like that, but I'm not going to put up with it. I will defend myself against such people. In the new Mac Mini I am expecting to see an intel i3 chip, the same RAM, and a little more GHz speed. I also except it to stay the same size, because it will still need to fit DVD's and CD's... if we still even use them.. Lol.
