Whats your opinion? Do I have a chance with new updated list and 4 more publications and a letter about my leadership role?
With identical evidence, my EB2-NIW was approved at NSC.
-Please advice.

A friend of mine, with similar credentials like yours (from what i can get from your post) got his GC thru EB2-NIW. He didn't have to go through lengthy labor process. His lawyer recommended against filing for EB-1. Please contact a lawyer and hope for the best

I can re-apply, but my 485 is already approved on July 8th!

Also, why did they not inform you until now. You must have filed hers around Feb 2005.

I-485 RFE details.
Needed evidences:
1. 2 Passport size photos in USCIS specs.
2. Form I-693 completed by civil surgeon.
We did submit all these requested I-693 and photos during the initial filing. My question is, does USCIS request for new I-693 if the original one submitted is older than one year or more?

I don't agree with more fees for 485 etc ...
They are already taking too much money out of us ...
Then lets just sit tight and hope everything would be done for us without shelling one extra dollar.
Come on guys, we need to see this from the Govt's point of view too. What's in it for them to even begin considering the plight of us??

If i send too early say Thursday June 28th it will reach their office Friday June 29th - will it get rejected because PD is CURRENT only as of July 1st, Sunday ??

I asked IV core on what version of immigration bill they support because I and other people wanted to know since there are so many amendments to the current immigration bill and Now I log in to see , the thread is missing, why, my question was straight forward, again I am asking them on what form of immigration bill they support. I highly doubt In what they are doing looks like they are working for the benefit of them self. Guys please don�t be ignorant and its your right to ask the question don�t be a dumb crowd but ask questions.
I am too in the same GC queue with I140 and I485 filed and pending, so don�t count me as anti � immigrant but also want to see the betterment of others too who are in GC process and will be effected due to the introduction of the new bill.

I don't think you are missing anything. I don't think the congress will pass a bill to recapture EB visas out of the blue like that. It will take lots of effort from the pro-immigrant community and will face a great deal of opposition like it did in the past from the anti lobby. It won't be handed to us in a plate just like that.
Haven't heard of recapturing H1 visas. With high demand for H1s I doubt if there will be any unused visas to be recaptured. Even if there are any then can the congress recapture them? Even if they did why would they recapture unused EB visas along with unused H1 visas? . Am I missing something here?..

So the persitence really do pay. I don't know the name of this gentleman but if you are reading this post please provide some more details. Hats off to you.
Wow...that's a nice story...in a way its sad that somebody has to wait for long for no apparent/valid reason, on the other hand its nice to know that his latest efforts succeeded at the end.
This shows (if there are any doubts) how bad is the administrative efficiency of USCIS. There might be several more cases where people are just waiting. Thanks to IV for working on a few administrative efforts recently - but examples like this show how much more to be done.
On a side note: if this is an IV member, first of all congratulations and secondly please consider giving your details to IV core so that they may use quoting your case in arguing for better administrative changes at USCIS.

you dont need to have ssn in hand to start work only EAD. Apply for SSn and the employer will be handed over docs of application, it takes 4-6 weeks to get the card.

According to him They won�t vote on any immigration bills till after the election.
So it seems it will be after november only.
But look at the positive side. We have more time to contact the law makers.

Graham is only opposed to the dems passing Healthcare reform through reconcilliation method, which is ramming through Senate with just 51 votes without regard to any republican inputs or support. Schedule A, by definition is an area where lawmakers have sympathy. It is guilt free since their own gov't surveyers are designating those areas as in short supply.
Right now the achiles heel for us is that just mainly India is affected. Hence the focus on this probem to the lawmakers seems like just a an Indian IT guys issue. You heard the good senator Biden's comment about what he felt about that, when he slipped up in Dunkin Donuts. I feel that is at the core of the problem. Hence they see it as a favour for us rather than a competitive benefit to this country.

My husband's GC priority date is EB2 Dec 2003, but I-140 is still pending. We applied for I-140 and I-485 in Nov 2007 after labor was stuck in backlog centers for 4 years.
We are done with finger prints few months ago. No updates on I-140 or I-485s after that.
Is it useful if we take Info pass appintment in this case and enquire about our case status?
Why not USCIS offer I-140 premium processing for older priority dates?
Can I-485 be pre-adjudicated even if I-140 is pending?.
Appreciate any information. Thanks.

Even though the immigration is the highest priority for all of us on this web site, that is not the same with Mr. President elect. He has to take care of other pressing issues like economy, Iraq war etc. first.
Therefore, I don't think it would be worthwhile to spend our resources for at least 6 more months. Once he settles down in the office and other things start moving, we can try at that time.
