I think this might be ready at MWSF. If they release MBP's, iPhones, and vPods before MWSF, what the heck are they gonna surprise us with there? Nothing.

I think you are forgetting about the TOP SECRET feaures of Leopard, iWork 07, iLife 07 and the actual release of the iTV with a new name.

    ha!

So tell me since you seem to be so wise, what would you do to fix this problem? Rather than tear down the current solution how about telling us what you would do to FIX it? We clearly can't get rid of screening as that leaves us open for attack using planes as missles.

Very simple. The way MOSSAD has done it for decades on El Al planes. 2 armed Sky Marshals on the plane. Problem solved. And it's cheaper and less intrusive. The problem is that the airlines don't want to give up 2 business class seats behind the cockpit.

Not only that, the "hand up vs. hand out" crap is truly mesmerizing. How can anyone that even utters that phrase take themselves seriously?

Really? You don't believe in that whole 'teach a man to fish' crap?
I suppose you also think the solution to African starvation is sending them bags of rice, corn, wheat w/out teaching them to plant some?

You can't charge your batteries that way either, at least nowhere near full. ;)

Regenerative braking is a small supplement at best. Yes, every bit helps, but currently the best diesel cars meet or exceed hybrid fuel economy and their carbon footprint is arguably no worse.

My opinion is that parallel hybrids are a technological dead end in the long term. Series hybrids might be part of the long term plan for stretching our fossil fuels but even those are not a -solution- to the problem. The solution is going to be either (in order of probability) biodiesel, hydrogen-powered cars or full electrics backed by a totally renewable power generation infrastructure.

Oh i'm sure there will be LOTS of technology in the house.

I bet he'll be able to control everything via an app on his iPhone.

The house itself doesn't need to be HUGE. He can still apply a lot of technology into the house making it worth millions!

I'd wager that Jobs will avoid putting superfluous technology into the house. We know he loves simple and existing home control systems are usually anything but.

Filling a home wilth complex technology can actually have a negative effect on a home's value because it requires expensive servicing and, of course, becomes obsolete very quickly.

U sure it was broke? not just your sloooooooowwwwwwww dial-up connection? ;)

Oh, we broke it alright. Hey, I used to play Quake against a mate on a 33.6k dial-up connection and it did just fine....

At least my dial-up connection isn't all snobby like your high-speed connection. Mine's got it's feet firmly planted on the ground. Well, it's up to it's hips in mud really. I hate dial-up.

Ah yes! Everytime I want to watch a Keynote, its usually spoiled by the fact the homepage on Apple.com is promoting the new products.... sort of ruins it really.

I like this feature, however I definitely think there needs to be a counter for both positive and negative votes. If the counter says "0" we have no idea how many votes that post recieved as there could be an equal number of +/- votes- which wouldn't tell us much of anything, would it?

Edit: Or am I not understanding how the counters work?

Unfortunately, the keynote itself is on a product page for a new product, so before you watch it, you will know what the new product is.

It's still not up yet though...

The grain texture on the screen compared to the hand is a sign of photoshop.

However, despite the probable fake picture, it could be a possible product since rumors of it were going around for a year or such. The bigger screen would make sense: borders are wasted space.

I am curious when they will begin to limit the borders on iMacs. That chin has gone on too long.

    Without question, banned from CES.

It costs companies a small fortune to attend and display at a show like this, would not be surprised if someone brought a suit against them.

    Totally unprofessional and unacceptable!

I'm not surprised, but I don't like it.

One of the things I like most about the Mac is the amount of well-designed, affordable third-party applications available. On Windows my choices seemed to be either a) crappy and free or b) usable and expensive ($100+). I've bought a ton of software for the Mac that cost $20-30 and is beautiful.

The Mac App Store is fine as an option -- there really are users who would otherwise never even know about apps that didn't come with their machine, for whom a curated, controlled list of easily-installed apps opens up their world. It's a great way to do a list of recommended or highlighted apps -- sort of a nicer http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/. But it can't be the only option, not with the restrictions and fees it entails.

I'm okay with a "walled garden" for my phone. I don't want to tinker with my phone, I just want to use it. But I do sometimes need and want to tinker with things on my MBP, in order to do the real, heavy-duty work I need to do. And Apple has a lot of OS X users like me -- professionals in creative, scientific, or engineering fields whose work requires them to tinker. Hell, how would anyone even develop applications if OS X became an iOS-style walled garden?

For these reasons, I think it's awfully short-sighted of Apple to restrict design awards to apps in the App Store. Some applications with great design just won't be suitable for the App Store, because they're more niche or developer-oriented. Apple should still recognize good design and development for those applications.

I get that this might be a temporary thing to promote the App Store, since it's new. I hope that's all it's about.

    Except Verizon does that too!!!!

Are you amongst tall buildings when you experience these dropped calls on Verizon? Maybe Verizon drops these calls because of the same reason AT&T does....

Don't get me wrong. I won't get an iPhone until I can get it on Verizon. I live in AZ and there are only two small spots where I ever lose a call and most of the time when I am in these areas, the calls do not drop.

    Verizon...Get the iPhone.

"Hi buddy. I just went down to the apple store and now I'm writing to you with my new iPhone. Yeah.
Wanna come over and check it out?"
    :D

Also switch off mobile, unplug landline, wear iPod, raise volume, close curtains, disconnect TV, put head under pillow, sing loudly ... and retreat to a remote Hebridean island until the keynote is posted.

Alternatively, if you're feeling more extreme...

    1. Thanks for the suggestions you have shared here. navigate here Furthermore, I believe there are many factors which will keep your auto insurance premium straight down. navigate to these guys One is, to consider buying cars and trucks that are within the good listing of car insurance businesses. Cars which have been expensive are definitely more at risk of being robbed. navigate to this site Aside from that insurance policies are also based on the value of your vehicle, so the higher in price it is, then the higher the premium you make payment for. navigate to this website
